Attention! The implementation rules of the CQC certification standard for lithium batteries have been updated!

On April 27 this year, the China Quality Certification Center announced the revised version of the "CQC11-464112-2015 Safety Certification Rules for Secondary Batteries and Battery Packs for Portable/Fixed Electronic Equipment".

The changes in the revised version are mainly:

1. Adding the lithium battery certification standard for "fixed equipment batteries" in addition to "lithium batteries for portable products";

2. Modifying the validity period of the certificate to 5 years;

3. Modifying the certification mark (the certification mark has also been changed, removing the "S", and the certification mark has been changed to "CQC Basic Certification Mark".)

Name: "Safety Technical Specifications for Lithium-ion Batteries and Battery Packs for Stationary Electronic Equipment"

Scope of application: This standard applies to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for stationary electronic equipment (hereinafter referred to as batteries and battery packs). Fixed electronic equipment includes:

a. Fixed information technology equipment (IT equipment);

b. Fixed audio and video equipment (AV equipment) and similar equipment;

c. Fixed communication technology equipment (CT equipment);

d. Fixed measurement control and laboratory electronic equipment and similar equipment.

Note: The fixed electronic equipment listed above does not include all equipment, so unlisted equipment may also be included in the scope of this standard. This standard also applies to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), emergency power supplies (EPS), etc.
