Certification introduction
The CB system (IEC system for electrical product qualification testing and certification) is an international system operated by IECEE. The certification agencies of IECEE member countries test the safety performance of electrical products based on IEC standards. The test results are CB test reports and CB A system whereby test certificates are mutually recognized by IECEE member countries. The purpose is to reduce international trade barriers that arise from having to meet different national certification or approval guidelines. IECEE is the abbreviation of the International Electrotechnical Commission Organization for Qualification Testing and Certification of Electrical Products.
CB member countries
The CB system provides manufacturers with an easy way to obtain multi-national safety certification for their products, allowing their products to enter more than 60 countries currently, and this number will continue to grow, including

CB report
The CB report is a standardized report that lists the requirements of relevant IEC standards in the form of an itemized list. The report reflects the results of all testing, testing, verification, inspection and assessment required by the standard, and these results should be clear and unambiguous. The report includes photos, country differences, terms determinations, and product descriptions. According to the rules of the CB system, the CB test certificate is only valid when provided together with the CB test report, and there is no CB mark.
Application process
1. Regarding the application for CB test certificate, the following points should be noted:
a. The application for a CB test certificate can be submitted by the applicant to any "certification/accreditation" NCB covering the product scope;
b. The applicant can be either a manufacturer or an entity authorized to represent the manufacturer;
c. The application may include one or more factories in one or more countries that produce the product.
d. Applicants/manufacturers/factories located in countries without IECEE member institutions need to pay an additional fee of 150 Swiss francs for each CB test certificate to compensate for the operating costs of the system. This fee is borne by the NCB that accepts CB testing. It will be collected and will be credited to IECEE’s account.
e. Applicants can request NCB to test products based on national differences in the country where the product is sold.
2. The following procedures are included for manufacturers to obtain product certification for the target market:
a. Submit an application to the NCB of the target country;
b.CB test certificate;
c.CB test report (can include national differences);
d. Provide product samples to the NCB of the target market when requested;
The purpose of requesting samples is to confirm that the product is consistent with the product originally issued by the NCB test and that national differences have been covered.
3. National differences
National differences are the differences between a certain country's standards or regulations and the corresponding international standards. National differences of all countries that join the CB system are submitted to the IECEE Secretariat and published in the CB Bulletin.
